Lani & Curtis in the Riviera Maya

Lani & Curtis had a beautiful wedding wedding at the El Dorado Royale Resort in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. They had about 20 - 25 guests that included their family and closest friends for their weekend celebration. I really loved the small intimate setting of their wedding because it gave me a chance to really spend some time with and get to know everyone.

Phuket, Thailand

Of all the places I have traveled, The Racha resort in Phuket, Thailand has to be one of my all time favorites. This exotic resort is truly one of a kind. The Racha resort actually sits on it’s own island which is about a 30 minute boat ride from the main island of Phuket. Here are some photos I took while on location for a destination wedding.

Megan & Josh’s Wedding Under the Oaktrees

Megan & Josh had a beautiful wedding under the oaks trees at Houmas House Plantation in Louisiana. Although we dodged a few rain drops, the weather (or at least the lighting the clouds produced) was almost perfect. They were such a joy to photograph because they were fun and energetic. Megan is a former LSU “Golden Girl“.

Rehearsal Dinner in Phuket

Shirin & Gerald had quite the rehearsal dinner the night before their wedding at The Racha Resort in Phuket, Thailand. After cocktails and dinner, the guests were treated to a fire dance and a ceremonial balloon send off for the couple.

What an amazing wedding. Shirin & Gerald’s wedding took place on a small island resort off the coast of Phuket, Thailand. The Racha was by far one of the best resorts I have ever been to. Most of their wedding vendors were based in Singapore, except for me of course. Shirin has an amazing sense of style and attention to detail. My kind of client.!!! Here are a few of my favorites.

What A Year!!!

After logging more than 20,000 miles on my last wedding alone, the 2007 wedding season has come to an end. The 2007 wedding season was probably my best so far. I photographed weddings in Argentina, Thailand, Singapore, Jamaica, Mexico and many right here in the U.S. I estimated that I logged over 45,000 miles. With all that traveling, I didn’t have very much time to keep my blog up to date. Now that the season is over and I have a little more time now, I have decided to make some needed changes to my blog as well as a little make over. Check back soon to view the new blog site. I will also be updating some of the work a haven’t yet posted. See you soon!

Shirin & Gerald in Singapore

I had the unique opportunity of spending a few days in Singapore while on my way to Phuket, Thailand for my next wedding. Shirin & Gerald and I went to a few spots around Singapore for some couple photos. A few of the places we went were Chinatown, the Japanese Gardens, The Raffles Hotel, as well as a couple of temples.

For those of you who know me, you know one of my favorite subjects to photograph is the beautiful fall foliage that each Autumn produces. I love to find new places that displays the bright, bold colors. Mostly when you think of fall foliage, you think of the northeastern states. Recently when I went on a press trip to Napa, California with the crew from Romantic Destinations Magazine, I found a new place to photograph the beautiful colors - in the grapes leaves across Napa Valley. Absolutely stunning and unexpected. The following photos will share some of the amazing shots I got.

Well back to the press trip. Like I said, I was there with Romantic Destinations Magazine. We took a several personal guided tour, each with their own unique perspective of Napa. First and foremost, I have to highly recommend calling Chris and Bill at Cristal Blue Carriage the next time you are visiting Napa. Even if you have been to Napa before, like me, Chris and Bill will show you a whole other side to wine country. We were all chauffeured around in their trademark blue limos. We visited quite a few modern boutique wineries. Everyone involved was so personable an friendly. Everyplace we went was like going over to a friend’s house and drinking a glass of wine, however these friends houses’ just happened to sit in the middle of a beautiful vineyard. Other venues for seeing and experiencing Napa, that I highly recommend, are listed below (as well as some of the winery’s we visited).

A Visit with DJ Lui

Anytime I am in New York, I have to make a stop in Soho and visit DJ Lui at Lounge. He is the dj at one of the city’s hottest stores. Lounge has the latest fashions, a cafe and of course a huge selection of music where DJ Lui really is “the man”. He always keeps me up to date with the latest lounge / chill mixes.

Here are a few photos I snapped while in New York recently. These were shot after an engagement session I was doing with a client there. Most of the photos are of the Brooklyn Bridge, but there are a couple that were shot from the top of The Hotel on Rivington in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Jamaica Wedding for Brooke & Shelby

Brooke and Shelby had a really laid back wedding at Couples - Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. As a matter of fact, we were all sipping boat drinks on a raft in the bay up until about a hour before their official ceremony began. We also had a lot of time to take a lot of different shots around the resort. Check them out in the upcoming issue of Romantic Destinations Magazine where they will be one of the featured weddings.
